A2P / 10DLC Registration - Tips If You Have A Website Already

If you already have a website, there's a few things you'll want to ensure your website has to be A2P compliant. Below is a list of those items. The guidelines are always changing, so this isn't a guaranteed way of getting approved, but from my experience, these are typically the reasons a website fails.

Forms and Form Disclosures

ALL forms on your website need to include a disclosure checkbox that discloses you're gathering their information to text, call, email, send alerts, etc., a way to opt out, and letting them know message frequency may vary and data rates and charges may apply. Below is an example you can use. Again, this needs to be on ALL forms on your website.

By submitting contact information on this website you are consenting to receive calls, SMS, and emails from [YOUR FULL LEGAL BUSINESS NAME]. You certify that you are the owner of the contact information provided. Your information will not be sold. You can Opt-Out at anytime by replying STOP. Data rates and charges may apply. Message frequency may vary.

Affiliates and Third Parties

Make sure your website doesn't mentioned anything about sharing data with Third Parties or Affiliates. It's best practice to remove any verbiage altogether that mentions "Affiliate" or "Third Parties".

Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions Page

You'll want to include a Privacy Policy and a Terms and Conditions page if your website doesn't already have one. You can talk to an attorney, find examples online, use ChatGPT, etc. to help you write these pages if you need it. Below are some examples (this is not legal advice and I'm not an attorney. Please have your terms and conditions and privacy policy reviewed by a professional). Essentially what they're looking for is how you're handling the data your clients submit to you. More specifically, they want to make sure you're not selling it to third parties or affiliates.
